Built-Ins
Instead of a TV, the niche above the fireplace displays a beautiful painting and some glass art pieces. The mouldings around the fireplace are simple but classy.
This little Den includes a custom-made day bed. The mattress can be lifted up and bedding put in underneath. The book case is used to accommodate books as well as other display pieces. Underneath, behind the doors, are pull-out shelves for CDs.
The lighting is the most striking attribute of this hallway. The built-in bookshelves were designed and custom built in two of the bays to break up the long and uninteresting space. Each bookshelf is illuminated to glow and show interesting items and books on display. The u-shaped table is of solid cherry and was custom made. The glass table lamp appears to float and complements various glass pieces in the rest of the condo. The "Cinnabar" red ceilings and "Sweet Potato"-colored walls are repeated in other areas also.
This book case/ TV cabinet was designed to blend in with the existing panelling. It has pocket doors and a pull-out for the TV, shelving for stereo components, as well as two banks of drawers for CDs and other small items.
